Cadenet is a living village and has several shops, restaurants and a bi-weekly market. All 5 minutes walking distance from the house.
Other surrounding villages offer supermarkets, butchers, traiteurs, and market days. Lots of local wineries for wine tasting.
If you are a classical music fan, the august piano festival of La Roque d'Anthéron is one of the biggest in the world and is only 10 minutes away.
Coast / Beach
Nearest beach is at Cassis, a great small fishing port, about 1 hours drive. Marseille and it's calanques are also about 1 hour drive. There is also a lake nearby.

Port Royal golf course in Mallemort 35 minutes drive.
Travel
- If you are travelling from outside of Europe, the best way to get to Cadenet is flying to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport where there is a direct connection by high-speed train TGV either to Aix-en-Provence TGV station (30 mins drive) or to Avignon TGV station (1 hour drive).
- If you are travelling from Europe, the closest Airport is Marseille (45 mins drive).
- Use of car is essential to fully enjoy the region.
Distances
Cadenet is extremely well located to visit the region. You can reach Aix-en-Provence in 30 minutes and Avignon in 1 hour. The Cote d'Azur and Camargue is 1.5 hour away.
Some of the prettiest and most popular villages in France are within a stone throw. Lourmarin, Cucuron and Ansouis are 5 minutes away. Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, Bonnieux are 25 minutes drive away.
